Una Cafe is looking for a skilled and experienced fine pastry baker with a strong focus on croissants, laminated doughs, fine desserts, and cakes. We are looking for someone who is passionate about high-quality baking and understands the precision required to produce beautiful, consistent pastries from scratch.
Responsibilities may include:
Preparing croissant dough from scratch, including mixing, laminating, shaping, proofing, and baking Producing classic and specialty croissants in a variety of shapes and flavors Creating fine pastries and specialty desserts Preparing mousses, creams, fillings, ganaches, glazes, and other dessert components Baking and decorating cakes for daily display and custom orders Following recipes carefully while maintaining consistent quality and presentation Managing fermentation, proofing, dough temperature, and production timing Preparing items ahead of time and freezing products when appropriate for production Helping develop new pastries and seasonal desserts Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery workspace Monitoring ingredients, prep levels, and product quality Ideal candidate: Has hands-on experience making croissants and laminated pastries from scratch Has experience with fine desserts and cakes Understands proper lamination, fermentation, proofing, and baking techniques Has a strong eye for detail and presentation Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently Can maintain quality and consistency in a bakery production environment Is comfortable working early-morning bakery hours
