Groovy Duck Bakery is looking for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Cake Decorator / Bakery Production team member to help produce high-quality custom cakes, decorated shortbread cookies, and bakery items in a fast-paced environment. This role combines decorating, baking production, organization, and daily bakery operations while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Products You May Work On:

Custom Cakes Decorated Shortbread Cookies Cupcakes Eclairs Cheesecakes Seasonal and specialty bakery items

Responsibilities:

Decorate cakes, cookies, and baked goods according to customer specifications Assist with baking, prepping, filling, icing, and finishing products Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workstations throughout production Follow recipes, decorating standards, food safety, and sanitation procedures Work with bakery equipment, decorating tools, mixers, and ovens safely and efficiently Support daily production goals and assist with special orders and seasonal items

Qualifications:

Previous cake decorating, bakery, or baking experience required Experience with custom cakes and decorated cookies preferred Strong attention to detail, creativity, and consistency Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Weekend availability required (Saturday)

We are growing and preparing to open our new Apex location, and we're looking for team members who take pride in quality products, creativity, and customer experience.

Pay:

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
