Farm to Cake is looking for a dependable pastry cook to join our production team in Waynesville. This is a hands-on support position focused primarily on bakery preparation, including: Curds, creams and fillings Cookie, pastry and specialty doughs Preparing ingredients and components for production Bread production assistance Other bakery prep based on experience and ability as assigned We are looking for someone who follows recipes accurately, works efficiently and consistently, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and understands how important dependable prep work is to the entire team. Like everyone on our bakery team, this employee will participate in keeping the bakery clean and organized. Responsibilities include washing dishes, cleaning and maintaining your workstation throughout the shift, and assisting with specialized or deep-cleaning projects as assigned. This is a part-time position. Days and hours will be determined based on availability, demonstrated skills and the level of contribution the employee can make to bakery production. However, we are looking for availability during the mornings and week days. Sundays and Mondays will be off. Compensation includes a base hourly rate plus a share of our employee tip pool. The starting rate will be discussed based on experience and ability.
