Paris Baguette is a neighborhood bakery cafe serving freshly baked breads, pastries, and cakes made fresh daily. Our cake decorators bring our signature cakes to life, from fresh cream cakes finished with fruit to custom celebration cakes. We are looking for a Cake Decorator to join the team at our Commack, NY cafe.

Pay:

$17.00

00 per hour, plus tips.

Schedule:

Full-time positions are 40 hours per week; part-time hours are flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Decorate and finish cakes to Paris Baguette brand standards, including icing, piping, lettering, and applying toppings, glazes, and fresh fruit
• Level, fill, and ice cakes (fresh cream and buttercream finishes) for the display case and for customer orders
• Take, prepare, and check custom and special-occasion cake orders so they are accurate and ready on time
• Keep the cake display case fully stocked, fresh, and visually appealing throughout the day; rotate products and check quality and sell-by dates
• Package finished cakes and pastries neatly for retail display and customer pickup
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized decorating station, tools, and work area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Follow recipes, production guides, and quality standards consistently
• Assist the bakery team with general production and prep tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 1 year of cake decorating experience required, especially icing, piping, and finishing cakes
• Strong attention to detail and a good eye for presentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; food handler certification is a plus
