Market District is seeking an Experienced Cake Decorator to craft premium cakes and desserts in a fast-paced supermarket bakery. You will design and decorate custom cakes, pastries, and specialty desserts that showcase culinary creativity while meeting quality, safety, and presentation standards. Responsibilities include taking and fulfilling special orders, managing display cases, maintaining a clean, food-safe workspace, and collaborating with team members. Responsibilities Design and decorate custom and signature cakes, cupcakes, and desserts to Market District standards. Consult with customers to understand design requests, flavors, and special order details. Prepare, color, and handle icings, fillings, fondant, and decorative elements safely and efficiently. Set up and maintain attractive bakery display cases, rotating products for freshness. Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling procedures. Meet production schedules and deadlines during peak periods and special events. Maintain a clean, organized work area, tools, and equipment. Collaborate with bakery team members and respond to direction from bakery leadership. Track product needs and communicate inventory or supply shortages.
