Our bakery-cafe offers eight different flavors of cake by the slice each month, in addition to whole cakes, savory fare and more. Our Production Baker specializes in high volume baking and batter production with additional support in all areas of production from batter and frostings to cake assembly, slicing and more. Minimum 1-2 years baking experience required. Our ideal candidate loves early mornings (6 am start time), possesses solid leadership skills and a willingness to learn, and has a passion for small business.

Primary Responsibilities Measure and weigh ingredients accurately baking sheet cakes and rounds bulk cake batter, filling and frosting production monitor inventory and stock deliveries as needed daily quarter sheet and whole cake assembly high volume slicing and garnishing Maintain clean/tidy work station daily dishwashing as needed Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Previous professional baking experience required cake assembly experience helpful, not required ability to stand for long periods of time ability to lift 50 pounds ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays Compensation $18/hour training period, then $20/hour generous employee discount on whole cakes and merchandise free cake, snacks, espresso drinks Work Remotely No To apply, please submit resume AND cover letter sharing why you'd be a great fit to our team to susan@cakebloom.com We look forward to hearing from you!
