Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista Cashier to join our vibrant café team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality beverages, and managing cashier responsibilities in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with coffee and food handling, possess strong time management skills, and be passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and payment handling. Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit. Manage cash handling procedures, including processing transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food preparation and food handling tasks. Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and ensuring the café remains organized. Uphold health regulations related to food safety and sanitation protocols at all times. Support team members during busy periods by multitasking effectively with sales, serving, and cashier duties. Qualifications Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in retail math or cashiering roles is beneficial but not required.
