Turquoise Wine Bar is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Wine Enthusiast to provide exceptional service while creating engaging and memorable wine experiences for our guests. This position plays an important role in delivering quality experience our guests expect, with a strong emphasis on wine education, hospitality, and product knowledge. Wine Enthusiasts are responsible for guiding guests through our wine selection, providing recommendations, serving wine and food, promoting wine club memberships, and maintaining a welcoming and knowledgeable atmosphere. We are looking for someone passionate about wine, who enjoys interacting with guests, works well in a team environment, and is eager to continue expanding their wine knowledge. Responsibilities & Expectations The ideal candidate will: Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service throughout their visit. Educate guests about wines, including varietals, regions, tasting notes, pairings, and other characteristics. Make personalized wine recommendations based on each guest's tastes and preferences. Guide guests through wine flights, tastings, bottles, and by-the-glass selections. Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders and provide attentive table service. Recommend food and wine pairings to enhance the guest experience. Promote wine club memberships, featured wines, retail bottles, special events, and current promotions. Properly open, present, pour, and serve wine according to established service standards. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked guest and service areas throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, fellow Wine Enthusiasts, and management. Follow all responsible alcohol service policies and applicable local and state regulations. Continue developing wine knowledge through tastings, training, education, and independent learning. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the Turquoise brand. Manage Bar Inventory Maintain proper table set-ups Qualifications Previous restaurant, serving, bartending, retail wine, or hospitality experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. An interest in and enthusiasm for wine is strongly preferred. Wine knowledge is beneficial, but a willingness to learn is essential. Strong communication and customer service skills. Comfortable speaking with guests and providing recommendations. Ability to learn and communicate information about wines, food pairings, and menu offerings. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages and obtain any required certifications. Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
