Duties Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic and wine beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit/debit card payments, and giving correct change with attention to detail. Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces in accordance with food safety standards. Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed, adhering to proper food handling procedures. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards. Experience Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred, especially with barista duties involving drink preparation. Familiarity with POS systems like square Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Experience in retail sales transactions and cashiering is advantageous. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced setting.
