Moody Brews Coffee is a full service coffee shop located within a new diner in Cumming called Papa's Kitchen. We are a family-owned business, looking for a barista willing to help us in these early stages of opening, and grow with us. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using professional equipment such as espresso machines and grinders. Take customer orders accurately using Toast POS system, ensuring quick and friendly service. Handle cash transactions, process payments efficiently, and manage cash handling responsibilities with precision. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and preparation procedures. Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, or other café offerings to ensure quality and presentation. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers promptly while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications Previous barista experience or strong interest in coffee brewing and food service is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in fast-paced environments. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling, and serving protocols. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, or weekends.
