Lovekin Coffee Social Club

Barista / Social Host

Job Description

Lovekin is a coffee social club in Garden City built around coffee, conversation, music, and meeting people. We're looking for a dependable part-time teammate who enjoys making good drinks and helping guests feel welcome. We're hiring now, with a start date as soon as you're available and we've confirmed a fit. If you have barista experience, have created social media content, or bring both, we'd like to hear from you. Tell us where you're strongest so we can match your experience to the work. What you'll do Welcome guests, start conversations, and help people feel comfortable joining in. Prepare espresso drinks and other menu items once trained and approved to work behind the bar. Help with small events, setup, cleanup, and keeping Lovekin organized. Notice what needs doing and follow through without waiting to be asked each time. Depending on your assigned role, participate in photos and short videos about Lovekin's drinks, events, and community. Social-host work can also include hosting or co-hosting TikTok LIVE. What we're looking for Previous barista experience or hands-on social media/content experience. Experience in both is a plus. A friendly, attentive approach to guests and comfort meeting new people.
Reliability:
arrive ready for the full shift, keep your commitments, and flag conflicts early.
Clear communication:
respond to scheduling requests by the stated deadline and let us know when you'll be unavailable. Willingness to learn our processes, take feedback, and help during busy periods. Schedule This is part-time, in-person work, primarily Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Current barista shifts generally run 6:45-11:15 p.m. on Thursdays and 6:45 p.m.-12:15 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Social-host shifts generally run 8-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Events may have different start times. You don't need to be available for every shift. Tell us which evenings you can reliably work. Assigned hours depend on coverage needs, your availability, and the roles you're trained to perform; a fixed weekly number of hours is not guaranteed. Pay Barista and social-host shifts both pay $18 per hour once you're fully trained and approved to work independently in the assigned role. To apply Send your resume or a short summary of your relevant experience, your evening availability, and when you could start. If you have social media experience, include two or three existing examples and briefly explain what you did—filming, editing, appearing on camera, writing, or managing the account. No new sample project is needed. Barista applicants can describe their drink preparation and service experience instead. If coffee, music, events, and helping people connect sound like your kind of work, we'd love to hear from you.

$18.00 per hour Application Question(s): Which relevant experience do you have: barista work, social media/content work, or both? Briefly describe your responsibilities. Which Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening shifts can you reliably work, including their finish times? When could you start?
