Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff members in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for coffee and food service, and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure smooth operations. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the café staff to maintain high standards of service and efficiency. Train new employees on café procedures, customer service techniques, and food safety protocols. Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during shifts. Assist in food preparation and serving to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to enhance team productivity. Skills Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for patrons. Experience as a barista or in the coffee industry is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling practices. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Previous experience in food service or related fields is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
