As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will involve engaging with customers, maintaining the cleanliness of the café, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately. Handle cash and manage cash register operations with precision. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including dining areas, equipment, and workstations. Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours. Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and enhance their overall experience. Qualifications Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not required. Strong math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to assist customers effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with POS systems is a plus. A passion for coffee and the ability to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
