Café Louie is looking for experienced baristas to join our opening team in Bay City, Michigan. Located in the garden level of a beautifully restored historic bank, Café Louie will be an elevated neighborhood café serving thoughtfully prepared espresso drinks, coffee, tea, matcha, pastries and light provisions. We're creating a space rooted in genuine hospitality, warm, polished and welcoming without ever feeling stuffy. We are hiring both part-time and full-time baristas, depending on availability.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Prepare consistently excellent espresso drinks, coffee, tea, matcha and seasonal beverages Provide warm, attentive and personalized service to every guest Operate espresso equipment, grinders and point-of-sale systems confidently Maintain a clean, organized and beautifully presented café Restock products and complete opening, closing and daily cleaning responsibilities Become knowledgeable about our menu and confidently answer guest questions Work efficiently while maintaining quality during busy periods Support teammates and contribute to a positive, professional workplace Follow all food-safety, sanitation and café operating procedures Help create the elevated guest experience that defines Café Louie

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous barista experience is preferred Experience preparing espresso-based beverages and steaming milk A genuine interest in hospitality, coffee and creating memorable guest experiences Friendly, polished and dependable Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team Able to communicate clearly and remain composed in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Availability for a combination of mornings, weekends and holidays as needed Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds

POSITION DETAILS

Part-time and full-time opportunities available based on availability Starting at $13- $15 per hour plus tips, based on experience Daytime café hours with morning and weekend availability required Located in Bay City, Michigan Café Louie is more than a place to grab coffee.
