Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional service and maintain a clean and organized workspace will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure all food items are prepared with attention to quality and presentation. Operate the Aloha POS system for order processing, cash handling, and payment transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any questions or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and support. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required. Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in cash handling with basic math skills for accurate transactions. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. A genuine desire to help customers and provide outstanding service at all times.
