Summer Moon baristas will prepare and serve specialty coffee, other beverages, and food items to customers.

SALARY:

Our baristas make $13 - $15 per hour

(includes base salary of $8 per hour with the potential to earn an additional $5 - $7 per hour in tips).

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provides outstanding customer service, making each customer feel welcome and loved Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages; correctly customizes orders as requested. Accurately describes menu items to customers. Processes customer payments using the proper buttons, including discounts and upcharges when applicable. Serves prepared foods and baked goods. Ensures that stations are properly stocked with paper products and beverage preparation items. Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas. Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas. Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and food warmers by routinely checking temperatures Stocks retail products; ensures that merchandise displays look how they should. May help with counting inventory as directed. Assist with receiving orders and getting them put away properly. Performs other duties as assigned. Ensures that their assigned tasks according to the provided task checklist are done at the end of each shift. Shows up to all scheduled shifts in uniform and on time.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Able to have a positive, outgoing attitude at work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices. Ability to multitask. Good memory to recall faces, names, and preferences of regular customers. Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly in a fast paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of your shift.

Pay:

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
