Java Smugglers is looking for an energetic, responsible, and hospitality-minded Barista / Shift Leader to help launch and lead our new grab-and-go café location at Morristown Train Station. This is more than a barista position. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the shift, lead by example, protect our coffee quality, and create an exceptional experience for commuters. What you'll do Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, cold brew, and specialty beverages Provide fast, friendly service during busy commuter periods Open and/or close the kiosk and ensure everything is ready for service Lead the shift and coordinate daily workflow Train and support other baristas Maintain Java Smugglers standards for coffee quality and presentation Manage inventory and communicate ordering needs Keep the kiosk exceptionally clean and organized Handle POS transactions and cash responsibly Help minimize waste and control product costs Create a welcoming, positive atmosphere for customers Help build the culture and identity of our new location We're looking for someone who is Reliable. Energetic. Organized. Positive. Accountable. Previous barista experience is preferred, but we're especially interested in someone with leadership potential and a strong work ethic . You should be comfortable working independently, making decisions during a busy shift, and taking responsibility for the overall operation. ⭐ The ideal candidate Has specialty coffee/barista experience Understands espresso and milk steaming Has previous leadership or supervisory experience or is ready to step into leadership Loves interacting with people Can stay calm and organized during a rush Takes pride in cleanliness and attention to detail Is dependable and punctual Wants an opportunity to grow with a local coffee brand

Pay:

$16.25 - $24.75 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 per week
