Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista to join our vibrant café team! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable experiences for every guest through exceptional beverage and food service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure that each customer receives top-quality drinks, prompt service, and a welcoming atmosphere. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in coffee preparation, customer service, and retail sales within a dynamic food industry environment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining balanced cash drawers. Complete opening and closing checklists each day to the full capacity and with care. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries or concerns professionally. Assist with food handling and preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without compromising quality or safety. Experience Previous barista experience in a café or food service setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Experience in food handling, beverage service, and retail sales transactions is desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper cleaning procedures in a food industry environment. Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
