Hours are typically 6am-3:30pm for weekdays, and 6am-2:30 on weekends. Part time and full time positions available. Preference given to applicants with experience and flexible availability, especially weekend availability and availability during Columbus Day Weekend (Scituate Art Festival). This job involves handling hot beverages, carrying loads up to 30lbs, going up/down stairs, and being on your feet for 8+ hours. Willing to train the right applicant. Job starts at $16/hour plus tips. Must be authorized to work in the US. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries with enthusiasm. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety standards. Handle cash transactions with precision, including processing payments and giving correct change using retail math skills. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high service standards. Skills Proven experience as a Barista or in food service, with strong knowledge of beverage service and drink preparation techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods. Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently to uphold hygiene standards in the café environment.
