BARISTA/BARTENDER GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Barista/Bartender provides courteous, efficient and professional food and beverage service to members and guests of the dining facility, in accordance with procedures established by management. Your essential functions are as follows, but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Reviews and becomes familiar with daily specials and events. Assures that bar and beverage requirements for the day are on hand. In preparation of daily operation, ordering all beverage, restocks glasses, takeout containers, cut fruit for drinks, glassware as necessary, stock and rotate beer, and wine. Performs opening procedure of bar or coffee cart. This includes taking inventory of bar stock and supplies. Ensures cleanliness of bar/cart area. This includes, but is not limited to tables in dining room, bar, and card room tables. Set card room tables every day for lunch, removal of used glassware, and dishes in a prompt manner. For the coffee cart, all disposable cups in the area are picked up, no trash is in sight or loose in the area. Provides service to customers. This includes, but is not limited to greeting of members and guests, taking beverage order and mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages or coffees. Prepare beverages for servers as requested. The Bartender will act as a Server when necessary, by seating guests, taking orders, and serving food. Responsible for takeout food operations and looker room. Takes orders and reservations as requested by phone or in person. Processes the order with the kitchen by using the JONAS system and assures that the orders are correct and ready promptly. Accepts calls for reservations. This includes obtaining correct information for the event. The Bartender familiarizes him/herself with upcoming events. Refers reservations to the Club Manager for approval when necessary. Processes food and beverage sales for both the bar and Servers. Performs closing operation at the end of the night. This includes, but is not limited to: A thorough cleaning of bar area and adequate stocking of glassware. Ensure all cabinets, coolers, and liquor storage areas are to be locked. Organize server chits for processing the next day. Fill all ice bins. Restock garnishes. Wipe down bar, stainless steal, stools, and sweep in front of bar. Empty trash. Inventory all 10th hole snack items and keep coolers clean with help of steward. Ensure all items purchased from the 10th hole are charged to the appropriate members at the end of each day. Always think about the bar and members needs 1st. Do not leave the bar and dinning room area when there is a member present. Always be attentive to members needs. If working in the coffee cart, responsible for all ringing in, barista services, setting up and breaking down of the space daily.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Three years previous bartending experience. Position requires standing for long periods of time. Excellent written and verbal skills. Excellent customer service skills. One year past coffee barista experience. #C3G
