Market Basket Reston, VA Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
• Take customer orders and accurately input them into the POS system
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment to prepare beverages according to company standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
• Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of all food and beverage items
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer throughout the shift
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and smooth operation of the coffee bar

Skills:

• Strong math skills for cash handling and calculating orders
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
• Experience in coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art
• Familiarity with food service procedures, including food preparation and presentation
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating recipe proportions
• Understanding of retail math for inventory management and sales tracking
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
