This is a solo shift, so you must be comfortable working alone, be motivated to get things done and do well without being micromanaged. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a lively environment, loves serving others, and has a keen eye for detail. As a key team member during the week, you'll craft delicious beverages, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure the smooth operation of our shop. If you're enthusiastic about coffee, possess strong multitasking skills, and enjoy engaging with people, this is your opportunity to shine! You may be asked to fill weekend shifts when needed. Prior Barista experience is required. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks with precision and flair Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly service to enhance their experience Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop Manage cash register transactions with accuracy using basic math skills and cash handling procedures Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques during food preparation and serving Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness Requirements Prior barista experience or background in food service within a café or retail environment Familiarity with POS systems (we use coffee shop manager) Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and retail math accuracy Reliable availability during weekend afternoons, with flexibility to adapt to shift needs Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm fuels great coffee moments!
