This position is located at our Astria Sunnyside Hospital in the Daliy Dose Cafe.

Shift:

6:00 AM - 9:00PM - Shifts will vary within this timeframe. What you get to do every day! As the Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food items to customers in the organization's coffee shop. You will: Prepare and serve beverage and food items with in the guidelines of local health department Process all payment types and report any issues to the manager Stay up to date on menu pricing and items Maintain the cleanliness of all displays, counters, food preparation devices, and sitting area ensuring area is safe from any hazards Replenish inventory as needed or to the standards of the department Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are followed Other duties as assigned Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries. Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization. Requirements High School Graduation or GED. Current Food Handler Card Six months of experience in food service industry Experience with payment systems Oral and written fluency in the English language. Preferred Qualifications and Education. One year experience working as a barista This position is identified as a safety-sensitive position for which impairment while on the job would present a substantial risk of death.
