SUMMARY:
The Bartender is primarily responsible for serving properly mixed drinks to all visiting and hotel guests and provide quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. The Bartender will work with other Food & Beverage staff members to ensure maximum efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Understands and applies all federal, state, and local laws governing the service of alcoholic beverages, as well as the restaurant's policies regarding liquor service liability. Interprets the bar arrangements on the banquet contract and plans the set up. Gathers all needed supplies and equipment for the bar set-up. Sets up the bar according to restaurant standards and maintains it during service. Performs necessary side work. Serves properly mixed drinks to restaurant guests. Breaks down the bar at closing and returns all equipment. Takes liquor inventory, fills out the consumption report, replaces items in inventory, and accounts for empties. Support safe work habits and contribute to a safe working environment at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge restaurant service standards, guest relations and etiquette. Excellent communication, verbal, written, customer service and organizational skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with employees and guests. Ability to multi-task, manage interruptions, establish work priorities, handle stress, and effectively function in a fast-paced environment
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Two years' experience as a bartender. High school diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
- Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
- Must have valid food handler certificate.
- Must have valid RBS training certificate.
