Job Description

A great bartender does more than make a good drink. They know their craft, read the room, keep the energy up, and deliver an experience that keeps guests coming back. We're looking for someone who is just as comfortable building a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned as they are handling a packed bar on a Saturday night. Someone who knows the classics, understands spirits, works with purpose, and brings personality to every shift. Our bar is fast-paced, cocktail-driven, and built around great hospitality. We take our drinks seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We're looking for experienced bartenders who can bring the knowledge, confidence, and energy to match. Strong cocktail knowledge is a must. Tiki experience is a plus. Weekend availability is nonnegotiable. What You'll Be Doing Prepare and serve classic, modern, and specialty cocktails with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail. Deliver genuine hospitality while creating an engaging and memorable guest experience. Maintain speed and efficiency during high-volume service without compromising quality. Demonstrate strong knowledge of spirits, cocktail ingredients, preparation methods, and drink presentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service. Follow established recipes, portioning standards, and responsible alcohol service practices. Work closely with fellow bartenders, servers, and management to ensure smooth daily operations. Complete opening, closing, stocking, and side-work responsibilities. Take initiative, anticipate guest needs, and contribute to a positive team environment. What We're Looking For Previous professional bartending experience required , preferably in a high-volume restaurant or craft cocktail environment. Strong knowledge of classic and commonly ordered cocktails is required. You should be able to confidently prepare standard cocktails without referencing recipes. Solid understanding of spirits, proper cocktail techniques, measurements, and flavor balance. Experience working with fresh juices, house-made syrups, and specialty cocktail ingredients. Familiarity with tiki cocktails, rum varieties, and tropical cocktail preparation is a plus, but not required. Strong communication skills, an outgoing personality, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform under pressure. Dependable, punctual, and willing to contribute wherever needed. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is required. Evening and holiday availability is expected. Must possess or obtain a valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and Food Handler Card, as applicable. The Right Fit We're looking for someone who understands that bartending is equal parts knowledge, execution, and hospitality. You should be confident behind the bar, comfortable engaging with guests, and capable of maintaining a high standard of service even when things get busy. We value individuals who take ownership of their work, support their teammates, and understand that the little details make a difference. If you know your cocktails, enjoy a busy bar, and take pride in delivering great hospitality, we want to hear from you. Qualified candidates may be asked to demonstrate their cocktail and spirits knowledge during the interview process.
