Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of fresh salads, toppings, dressings, and garnishes according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the salad bar area, including counters, utensils, and storage areas Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to assist with food preparation and ingredient handling Ensure all food items are stored at proper temperatures and rotated correctly to uphold food safety standards Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate ingredient replenishment and special menu requests Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments, food service, or restaurant environments is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Strong knife skills with slicing techniques for preparing fresh produce and ingredients Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and recipe adherence in a culinary setting Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, blenders, refrigerators, and dishwashers safely Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members Familiarity with catering experience or working in dietary aide roles is a plus Demonstrated commitment to cleanliness, food handling protocols, and safety standards in the food industry Embark on a rewarding journey where your culinary talents help serve healthy choices in a vibrant community setting!
