Responsibilities Prepare fresh ingredients daily, including washing, slicing, and portioning vegetables and toppings using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the salad bar area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly Replenish salad ingredients and toppings throughout service to ensure an attractive presentation and availability for guests Operate kitchen equipment safely, such as slicers, choppers, and refrigeration units, adhering to all safety standards in food production Assist with food preparation tasks related to salads, dressings, and garnishes following established recipes and menu guidelines Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure smooth service flow Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Food service or restaurant experience with knowledge of food handling safety standards Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations is a plus Strong knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient ingredient preparation Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and team members Knowledge of food safety management practices to maintain high hygiene standards during food handling Experience working in the food industry or culinary settings demonstrating attention to detail and recipe adherence This role offers an engaging opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about healthy eating options.
