Job Description
Job Summary We are a neighborhood bar focused on karaoke and live music. We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our team. In this role, you will craft and serve a variety of beverages, provide exceptional customer service, and create a lively atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Experience in food or beverage preferred, not required. Duties Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience and foster repeat business. Manage bar operations efficiently by processing cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards. Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate supply needs to management proactively. Handle cash handling procedures responsibly while managing multiple tasks during busy hours, demonstrating excellent time management skills. Requirements Proven experience in bartending within the hospitality or food service industry, preferably with fine dining or nightclub backgrounds. Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, craft beers, spirits, and beverage presentation Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing high-volume periods efficiently. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices. Previous experience with bar management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required. Basic math skills for retail math calculations including cash handling and billing accuracy. Additional experience in catering or event service is advantageous for supporting diverse guest needs.
