EXPERIENCED
Cross Servers/Bartenders! As a cross server/bartender you will scheduled as a bartender one shift or a server. You will mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. Your duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils and balancing cash receipts to record sales.
Job Responsibilities:
Verify identification and age requirements of customers
Mix traditional and creative cocktails
Process payment from customers
Clean glasses and bar utensils
Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section
Taking customers' food and drink orders
Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock
Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
Ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness
Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
High school diploma or associate degree in culinary studies or food and hospitality management
Prior experience in a food-serving establishment
In-depth knowledge of winery and different types of cuisines
Highly developed interpersonal skills
Basic bookkeeping knowledge
Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
High level of stamina to work to work on feet for extended periods
