Experienced Server / Bartender Raillery Public House in Franklin is hiring experienced servers and bartenders to join our established team. Candidates may apply for server shifts, bartender shifts or both. Please review our availability requirements before applying: Sunday availability is required. Team members must be available to work at least one or two Sundays per month. Availability on either Friday or Saturday is required. You do not have to be available both nights every weekend. Candidates with some weekday availability will receive preferential consideration based on our current staffing needs. Because we are a restaurant, working some holidays is part of the job. No one will be expected to work every holiday every time, but applicants should understand that holidays are shared among the team.
Position details:
Part-time, approximately four shifts per week Typical total earnings of approximately $23-$40 per hour, including tips Previous full-service restaurant experience preferred, though we will consider other food-service experience for the right candidate Bartending experience required only for bartender shifts Opportunities for cross-training and additional shifts may be available Immediate opportunities to take on additional leadership, bar-operations or administrative responsibilities are available for the right candidate We're not your typical full-service restaurant. We named the place "Raillery," so there's that. We know every restaurant claims to have a family atmosphere and be a great place to work. We actually mean it. We're imperfect like a family, certainly—but supportive, entertaining and pretty fantastic like one, too. We have a strong core team, loyal regulars and a restaurant we're continuing to grow. We're looking for a few new personalities who want to help us build on what we've created. Most importantly, we're looking for people who understand that restaurant service is a team effort. Our strongest employees take responsibility for their own guests while remaining aware of the entire room. They run food that isn't theirs, help reset tables, restock shared supplies and step in when another team member is in the weeds. We want people who are motivated to make money—but not at the expense of their coworkers or the guest experience. When the entire team succeeds, everyone has stronger shifts, happier guests and better earning opportunities.
The right person is:
Warm, engaging and genuinely comfortable talking with guests Dependable and ready to work when scheduled Confident in a full-service restaurant environment Motivated to make money and contribute to the success of the restaurant Willing to help outside their immediate section or assignment Able to balance having fun with doing the job well Interested in becoming a reliable part of the team—not simply picking up an occasional shift For someone interested in growing beyond serving or bartending, there is an immediate opportunity to take on additional responsibility. We're especially interested in candidates with leadership ability, strong organizational skills, or an interest in the operational side of the restaurant. We recognize talent when we see it, and we're willing to create room for the right person to grow. Raillery Public House has been operating in Franklin for almost four years. Together with our sister restaurants, The Gavel Public House in Wrentham and The Downtown in Norton, we have an established track record and plenty of industry experience. We still have the courage to try new things, and we believe great ideas can come from anywhere. We want our restaurants to succeed, we want our employees to make money, and we want people to enjoy coming to work while taking excellent care of our guests. What you'll be doing: Providing friendly, knowledgeable and attentive service Taking accurate food and beverage orders Learning and confidently discussing our menu, cocktails, beer and promotions Handling cash and credit-card transactions responsibly Completing opening, closing and assigned side work Maintaining clean, stocked and organized service areas Communicating clearly with managers, kitchen staff and fellow team members Recognizing when someone needs help—and stepping in without always needing to be asked If you're personable, dependable, a little bit fun, and interested in making good money while being appreciated for what you contribute, we would genuinely like to meet you. Apply through Indeed and include a quick note telling us a little about yourself, your restaurant experience, which position interests you and your general availability. If you're interested in leadership or administrative responsibilities, please mention that as well. Qualified candidates will be invited to come meet Brittany or Derek and see what Raillery is all about. We promise you'll like us—or at least Brittany.
