This role is essential for executing seamless events, from professional corporate drop-offs and weekday lunch service to elegant full-service weddings and galas. The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a polished appearance, and possesses the "above and beyond" attitude required to provide exceptional guest experiences. Candidates with strong morning and lunchtime availability are strongly preferred to support our growing weekday daytime corporate service.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Execution & Logistics Loading & Unloading:
Safely load, transport, and unload all necessary serving equipment, including platters, chafers, china, and glassware.
Station Setup:
Efficiently set up buffet lines, beverage stations, and dining areas according to floor plans and event BEOs (Banquet Event Orders).
Maintenance:
Monitor buffet levels, replenish food and supplies promptly, and maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout the event.
Breakdown:
Efficiently strike the event, pack equipment securely, and ensure the venue is left in pristine condition.
Hospitality & Guest Relations Guest Service:
Provide high-level hospitality, greeting guests warmly and attending to their needs with a proactive "guest-first" mindset.
Menu Knowledge:
Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens to answer guest inquiries confidently. Attention to
Detail:
Ensure table settings are precise, garnishes are fresh, and the overall aesthetic of the event meets our high standards.
Beverage & Bar Service Bartending:
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, and standard cocktails) with speed and accuracy.
Cash Handling:
Accurately manage cash and digital transactions for hosted or cash bars, maintaining strict accountability for the till.
Safety:
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and adhere to all local and state liquor laws regarding responsible service.
Qualifications Availability:
Morning and lunchtime availability (Monday-Friday) is highly preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in catering, banquets, or high-volume restaurant service preferred.
Skills:
Strong bartending skills and comfortable handling cash/POS systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods (8+ hours).
Communication:
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
Professionalism:
Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
Schedule & Compensation Hours:
Flexible, event-based scheduling (with priority scheduling for daytime/lunch shifts).
Pay:
Hourly rate plus tips.
