Support the General Manager and Food & Beverage leadership in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining Hilton brand standards, and creating a vibrant, welcoming bar environment from pre-opening through stabilized operations. This role is guest-facing and critical to driving both service quality and beverage revenue. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient bar that delivers a consistent and elevated experience aligned with Hilton Garden Inn standards. Key Responsibilities Operations & Guest Experience Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to standard recipes Provide friendly, attentive, and engaging service to all guests Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area Ensure timely service and accuracy of all drink and food orders Engage with guests to enhance their experience and build repeat business Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service Pre-Opening Support Assist with bar setup, organization, and equipment readiness Participate in training on recipes, service standards, and POS systems Support mock service and opening practice shifts Learn menu, beverage offerings, and brand standards Assist with stocking bar and receiving deliveries Financial Awareness Accurately process orders and payments through POS system Follow all cash handling and closing procedures Support upselling and suggestive selling to increase revenue Maintain proper pour standards to control cost Assist with inventory awareness and minimizing waste Safety & Compliance Follow all local and state alcohol service laws Maintain required certifications (e.g., TIPS or equivalent if applicable) Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all OSHA and workplace safety guidelines Support Hilton brand and QA service standards Team Support Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen, and leadership team Communicate clearly during service to ensure smooth operations Assist with bar prep, restocking, and closing duties Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude Work Experience Experience Previous bartending experience preferred Experience in hotel, restaurant, or bar environment preferred Experience in high-volume or fast-paced settings a plus Pre-opening experience preferred but not required Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and communication skills Knowledge of standard drink recipes and mixology basics Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy service periods Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems Technical Competencies Familiarity with bar equipment and beverage preparation Experience with POS systems preferred Basic math skills for transactions and cash handling Personal Attributes Outgoing, personable, and engaging personality Strong work ethic and reliability Professional appearance and demeanor Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits & Perks Competitive hourly wage + tips Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (PTO), Flex Time Off (FTO), and paid holidays "Go Hilton" Team Member Travel Program (discounted hotel stays worldwide) Professional development and advancement opportunities within Scarlett Hotel Group Opportunity to be part of a high-visibility hotel opening Employee referral bonus program
