RMP Hospitality is seeking dependable, professional, and customer-focused Bartenders to provide beverage service during scheduled events. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, processing customer transactions, maintaining an organized and clean bar area, monitoring inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Because this position involves the sale and service of alcoholic beverages, Bartenders are expected to follow all applicable alcohol laws, company policies, and responsible beverage-service procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and company procedures. Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to guests. Verify identification and legal drinking age before serving alcoholic beverages when required. Refuse alcohol service when required by law or RMP Hospitality policies. Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and follow established responsible-service procedures. Operate cash registers and point-of-sale systems. Accurately process cash, credit card, and other approved payment methods. Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the event. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar. Restock beverages, ice, cups, mixers, and other supplies throughout the event. Monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs to management. Assist with opening and closing inventory counts when required. Help prevent product loss, waste, unauthorized distribution, or theft. Maintain cleanliness of counters, coolers, equipment, storage areas, and customer-service areas. Follow appropriate sanitation and food/beverage handling procedures. Keep alcoholic beverages secured and under appropriate staff control. Immediately report customer incidents, alcohol-service concerns, inventory discrepancies, or other significant issues to management. Assist other RMP Hospitality employees during high-volume periods as needed. Complete opening and closing procedures for each assigned shift. Perform additional hospitality duties as assigned by management. Alcohol Service Responsibilities Bartenders are responsible for the safe and responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
Responsibilities include:
Checking identification when required. Following all applicable laws and regulations regarding alcohol sales and service. Never knowingly serving alcoholic beverages to an underage guest. Never knowingly serving alcoholic beverages to a visibly intoxicated guest. Maintaining control of alcoholic beverage inventory. Immediately notifying management or security personnel when assistance is needed with an intoxicated, disruptive, or non-compliant guest. Following RMP Hospitality procedures regarding alcohol-service limits, last call, and closing of the bar. Completing any alcohol-server training or certification required by RMP Hospitality or applicable law. Cash Handling & Inventory Maintain accurate cash and point-of-sale transactions. Verify beginning and ending cash drawer amounts when assigned. Accurately ring all products before distributing them to customers. Participate in beverage inventory counts when required. Report shortages, overages, damaged products, or inventory discrepancies to management. Never provide complimentary products, discounts, or unauthorized refunds without management approval. Follow all company procedures for securing cash and alcoholic beverage inventory. Customer Service Bartenders are expected to represent RMP Hospitality professionally at all times. Employees should greet customers, provide prompt service, answer reasonable questions about available products, and maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout each event. Any customer dispute or situation that cannot be resolved professionally should be referred to management or security personnel. Qualifications Previous bartending, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred. Knowledge of basic beverage preparation preferred. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system. Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced and high-volume event environment. Dependable, punctual, and organized. Ability to follow alcohol-service laws and company policies. Must meet all applicable legal age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. Alcohol-server training or certification may be required. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying hours based on the RMP event schedule. Physical Requirements The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, and move throughout the bar area. The position may require lifting and moving beverage cases, coolers, ice, kegs, and other supplies. Employees should be capable of safely lifting or moving approximately 25-50 pounds when necessary. The position may involve working indoors or outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions depending on the event and bar location.
Compensation & Scheduling Starting Pay:
$10.00 per hour plus tips. This is primarily an event-based position . Hours will vary depending on the RMP event schedule and operational needs. Bartenders should expect to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours when scheduled.
