Job Description

The Bar Back position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of all bar and beverage service areas within the establishment. This includes ensuring that all bar stations, storage areas, and equipment are clean, organized, and fully stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, paper products, glassware, ice, garnishes, and other necessary supplies. The role involves routine maintenance of beverage equipment, proper handling of inventory deliveries using tools like pallet jacks and dollies, and a working knowledge of sanitation regulations. Additionally, the bar back supports bartenders and other team members to ensure smooth operations and outstanding guest service. Candidates are expected to embody the values of Laguna Development Corporation by maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work under pressure—including on weekends and holidays—and effective teamwork. While no formal education is required, relevant work experience is necessary. The position demands attention to detail, basic arithmetic skills, and the ability to follow instructions. Physical tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and operating equipment are essential. Alcohol service certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment, and passing a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen is required.
