Bartender Swan Bay Resort & Marina | Alexandria Bay, NY Join the Team Behind Two of the Thousand Islands' Favorite Waterfront Bars Swan Bay Resort & Marina is looking for an experienced bartender to join our team for the remainder of the summer season, with both part-time and full-time opportunities available. You'll have the opportunity to work between our two unique waterfront venues: Why Knot Tiki Bar A fun, energetic poolside bar serving frozen cocktails, tropical favorites, ice-cold beer, and vacation vibes all day long. The Sunset Lounge Our upscale waterfront cocktail lounge featuring handcrafted cocktails, premium spirits, fine wines, whiskey, bourbon, and scotch—all paired with breathtaking St. Lawrence River sunsets and live entertainment. What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who: Has previous bartending experience (required) Works well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Delivers outstanding customer service with a positive, professional attitude Is organized, efficient, and able to multitask Maintains a clean, well-stocked, and organized bar Has knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and craft cocktails Can prepare quality drinks quickly and consistently Works well independently and as part of a team Is dependable, punctual, and takes pride in their work Brings energy, hospitality, and attention to detail every shift Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Recommend cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits to guests Deliver exceptional hospitality and create memorable guest experiences Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar throughout your shift Monitor inventory and restock as needed Accurately handle POS transactions and payments Follow all New York State alcohol service laws and safety procedures Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and management Help create the fun, welcoming atmosphere Swan Bay is known for Qualifications Previous bartending experience required Knowledge of classic cocktails and premium spirits preferred Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus Why Swan Bay?
