May be available for private events About the Role We are seeking an experienced, professional bartender to join our team at a live jazz club and help elevate our overall bar and guest experience. This is more than a traditional bartending position. We are looking for someone with strong cocktail knowledge, excellent hospitality instincts, and the ability to help establish consistent standards behind the bar. The ideal candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced environment while understanding that great service is about more than speed. Attention to detail, professionalism, consistency, and creating a welcoming experience for our guests are extremely important to us. Responsibilities Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and professional bar service during live performances and events Prepare classic and house cocktails consistently and efficiently Assist management with the development and implementation of our cocktail menu Help establish and reinforce proper bartending procedures and service standards Assist in developing training procedures for current and future bartenders Help coach team members on cocktail preparation, presentation, efficiency, and guest interaction Promote strong hospitality and service habits throughout the bar team Maintain proper bar setup, cleanliness, organization, and closing procedures Follow responsible alcohol service and all applicable health and safety standards Help maintain consistency in recipes, pours, garnishes, glassware, and overall drink presentation Communicate effectively with management, servers, fellow bartenders, and other team members Assist with private events when additional shifts are available What We're Looking For 3+ years of bartending experience preferred Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer Experience working in a cocktail-focused, upscale, high-volume, or entertainment venue is a plus Strong understanding of proper bar setup, preparation, and service procedures Comfortable helping train and mentor other bartenders Ability to provide polished hospitality while maintaining speed and efficiency Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain composed and guest-focused during busy services Availability Friday through Sunday is required Flexibility to occasionally work private events is preferred What Makes This Position Different We are looking for someone who wants to have an impact on the bar program rather than simply work a shift. You will have the opportunity to work alongside management to help refine our cocktail program, improve training procedures, establish stronger service standards, and contribute ideas that enhance the guest experience. Our goal is to build a bar team known for consistency, hospitality, professionalism, and quality while complementing the unique atmosphere of a live jazz venue. Schedule This position is strictly weekend-based , with regular shifts Friday through Sunday. Additional shifts may occasionally become available for private parties, special events, and venue buyouts.

Experience Bartending:

3 years preferred

Cocktail/Full-Service Bar Experience:

Preferred Training or Bartender Leadership Experience:
