Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, efficiency and flair. Engage with guests in a friendly, attentive, energetic and professional manner to enhance their overall experience. Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy hours through effective time management. Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's drink menu, food menu, specials, and promotions. Take beverage and food orders and accurately enter orders into the POS system. Process and handle cash and credit card transactions, tabs, and receipts accurately and honestly using POS system. Maintain appropriate accountability for alcohol, inventory, and restaurant property. Verify identification and follow all applicable alcohol service laws and restaurant policies. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible alcohol service. Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and verify guest identification as required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards. Complete opening, closing, restocking, and side-work responsibilities. Communicate effectively with all team members: servers, kitchen staff, management. Assist teammates as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations and an excellent guest experience. Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety requirements. Qualifications At a minimum, two years of previous bartending experience is preferred in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, craft beers, and spirits. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and enthusiastically. Detail-oriented, hard working. Ability to multitask and remain professional during busy periods. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. High level of integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and personal accountability. Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol, including required permits or certifications. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and food industry calculations. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with restaurant and bar service.
