Job description Hallmark Resort Newport is looking for a courteous and professional Banquet Server/Bartender responsible for greeting, assisting, and serving guests at special functions and events. The Banquet Server/Bartender will help with event preparation, clean up, serve guests, and respond to questions, complaints, and requests. To be a successful Banquet Server/Bartender, you should possess excellent customer service and communication skills. You should be professional, polite to guests, and efficient service.

Banquet Server/Bartender Responsibilities:

Set up and break down bar stations for banquet events according to event specifications Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and professional manner Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with state and company guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout service Restock bar supplies and beverages as needed during events Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions or operate event tabs as directed Collaborate with banquet servers and event staff to ensure smooth service flow Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies Assist with inventory control and end-of-event cleanup as needed Greeting guests as they enter a venue Seeing guests' comfort through answering questions, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and serving food and beverages. Directing guests to necessary services and features Assisting with event preparation, set up, and closing, including setting up and packing away tables, table cloths and place settings, and buffets. Supporting other staff to ensure guest satisfaction. Adhering to safety and quality regulations.

Banquet Server Requirements:

• A High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a server / bartender is preferred.
• Need to meet age limits for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Courteous and attentive to guests.
• Ability to meet the job's physical demands, staying on your feet, climbing stairs, carrying heavyweights.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
