The Stewarding Coordinator provides administrative support for the Stewarding department. Oversees and orders products for the daily needs of the Employee Dining Room. Properly stores and rotates food and nonperishable items; provides clean utensils, kitchen equipment and outlet wares, ensuring a safe and clean work environment for all kitchen personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer telephone and relay messages, answer questions when possible. Type written correspondence, reports and other documents. Process incoming/outgoing mail and invoices of items received. Assist Executive Steward with all new employees and exit paperwork. Assist Executive Steward with Special Events temporary staffing and payroll. Supply clean dishes, glassware, silverware and equipment for all restaurants and kitchens. Stock and requisition cleaning supplies as needed. Ensure the uses of sanitary and hygienic techniques are always maintained. Assist with inventory of china, flatware and glassware. Clean and store kitchen equipment per Executive Chef request instructions. Remove discarded items and equipment from Employee Dining Room area to ensure access and safe passage. Dispose of garbage on daily basis which would require the ability to lift to up to 50 lbs. Report equipment failures to supervisor, before initiating a work order. Report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately. Report on employee performance, recommend outstanding employees and suggest the need for disciplinary action to executive steward. Pick-up food from banquets and pastry shop and deliver to appropriate function. Keep the Employee Dining Room properly stocked with product needs for daily operation. Assist with food service at the Employee Dining Room if necessary. Knows, models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values, and standards). Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

Excellent communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Problem solving skills required with previous supervisory experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Some knowledge of sanitation and familiarity with cleaning chemicals. Must be self-motivated and possess good lifting skills. Ability to push, pull up to 20 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary. High school diploma or equivalent.
