Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional food service in a school setting. Duties Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the setup and breakdown of serving/dining areas for daily service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure food products' safe handling and storage. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs promptly. Support bartending duties as needed, including mixing beverages and serving drinks. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Assist dietary aides in preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or food handling is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining a safe working environment. Strong hospitality skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to do other tasks when required. A positive attitude and willingness to help others are key attributes for success in this role.
