Duties Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages in a timely manner Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns Support event planning and execution, including setup and breakdown of events Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience Engage in upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas, adhering to health and safety standards Assist with budgeting and inventory management for food supplies Participate in marketing initiatives related to events and catering services Skills Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and clients Proficient in marketing strategies to promote events and services effectively Experience in upselling products or services to enhance customer experience Knowledge of event marketing principles to attract guests to special occasions Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members Time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods Familiarity with events management processes, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly Background in budgeting for food service operations or events Previous banquet experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to cater large gatherings Understanding of contracts related to catering services or event planning Experience in catering, restaurant, or hotel environments is highly desirable Skills in fundraising initiatives that can support community engagement efforts Commitment to providing exceptional guest services within the hospitality industry
