5 days per week — 2 morning shifts, 2 evening shifts, and 1 designated cooking shift. Flexibility is required based on business needs. Position Summary Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Bistro Attendant to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent guest service while preparing and serving food and beverages in our Bistro. This position requires someone who is comfortable working both morning and evening shifts, can prepare menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards, and can create a welcoming experience for hotel guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional customer service. Prepare, cook, and present Bistro menu items according to brand standards and established recipes. Set up, stock, and maintain the Bistro for breakfast and evening service. Take guest orders, operate the POS system, and accurately process payments. Prepare coffee, specialty beverages, alcoholic beverages where applicable, and other menu offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, service counter, dining area, and food storage spaces. Follow all food safety, sanitation, temperature-control, and proper food-handling procedures. Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and communicate shortages to management. Assist with opening and closing duties, including food preparation, cleaning, and securing equipment. Work collaboratively with hotel staff to ensure a positive guest experience. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Schedule and Shift Expectations The successful candidate must be available to work five shifts per week, consisting of: 1 cooking shift: Focused on food preparation, cooking, and kitchen responsibilities. 2 morning shifts: Supporting breakfast service, food preparation, beverage service, and Bistro setup. 2 evening shifts: Supporting dinner service, cooking menu items as needed, guest orders, and closing duties. Shift assignments may vary based on hotel occupancy, business demands, and operational needs. Weekend and holiday availability may be required. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, hospitality, restaurant operations, or food preparation preferred. Basic cooking skills and the ability to follow recipes and food preparation procedures. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently. Willingness to work both morning and evening shifts. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry supplies as required. Must meet applicable local food-handler certification requirements.
