Job Description
Job Summary:
- Assistant will assist the Head of Food Safety with day-to-day food safety requirements. The candidate will verify quality control, monitor food safety procedures, assure proper documentation, problem solve food safety issues and assist with HACCP, GMP, and GFSI compliance.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Receive, review, input, and file food safety logs (DAILY, Weekly, and Monthly) and documents.
- Assist with preparation for any and all food safety audits and inspections.
- Assist in preparation of Employee Safety training. (OSHA & Food Safety)
- Help develop, maintain, enforce, and update all records, manuals, trainings, and procedures (SOPs & SSOPs) as they pertain to food safety, quality control, HACCP and GMP Policies.
- Report and assist with correcting any food safety violations and/or non-compliance in all aspects of operations.
- Monitor schedule of microbial testing program and assist with sample collections.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & Publisher)
- MUST BE detail oriented and possess good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with other people.
