Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Banquet Set Up Specialist! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and arranging banquet spaces to create inviting, organized, and memorable environments for events. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will ensure each setup meets the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to seamless event experiences while developing your skills in hotel housekeeping and custodial services. Responsibilities Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decor with precision and care Ensure all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after events using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents Handle cleaning tasks such as vacuuming floors, mopping, dusting, and maintaining floor care standards to uphold a pristine environment Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemical agents in compliance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, equipment, and supplies to facilitate efficient setup and breakdown processes Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, service stations, and surrounding banquet spaces throughout the event cycle Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest safety at all times Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, especially within hotel or hospitality settings Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including floor care and sanitation practices Experience handling cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely and effectively Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely Excellent customer service skills to support guest needs during events Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices is a plus Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Join us in creating exceptional event experiences through meticulous setup and outstanding cleanliness! Pay:
$10.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 30.0 per week
