Food Service Aide Substitutes

Job Description

Summary:
The Food Service Aide Substitute will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, serving, and clean-up of meals in a food service setting. They will work under the supervision of a food service manager or chef to ensure that all meals are prepared and served according to established standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of meals, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and cooking basic dishes
  • Serve meals to customers in a cafeteria or dining room setting
  • Assist with cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including wiping down counters, sweeping floors, and disposing of trash
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective gear and using proper food handling techniques
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and stocking shelves
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patrons, including answering questions and addressing concerns
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service setting preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines for food handling and preparation.

Will vary.
