In Person About the Role Reese Villa Personal Chef Services creates elevated dining experiences in clients' homes and vacation properties for private dinners, celebrations, and special occasions. We're looking for an experienced, personable, and dependable Private Dining Event Assistant to work alongside our chefs. This is a service-first position with hands-on event support . Candidates should have professional serving experience and be comfortable assisting both in the dining area and behind the scenes when needed. Responsibilities Set up and prepare dining and service areas. Serve and clear courses professionally. Refill water and assist with beverage service. Maintain the dining area and help with resets between courses. Work with the Lead Chef to maintain smooth service and pacing. Assist with family-style and buffet service when applicable. Help with dishes, kitchen organization, and cleanup. Assist with plating and very light/basic food prep under the chef's direction when needed. Help with event breakdown and general event support. What We're Looking For Previous professional serving experience is required. Experience in restaurants, catering, banquets, private dining, hotels/resorts, or event service. Fine dining, upscale hospitality, or private-event experience is a plus. Friendly, professional, attentive, and comfortable interacting with guests. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to take direction. Comfortable working inside clients' private homes and vacation properties. Willing to assist with dishes, cleanup, and light kitchen support. Available for evenings, weekends, and select holidays. Reliable transportation to event locations. Schedule & Compensation This is an event-based independent contractor opportunity with no guaranteed weekly hours. Assignments are offered based on confirmed bookings, event needs, and your availability. Compensation is paid per event and may vary based on event length, guest count, service style, travel, and responsibilities. Background Check Because our team works inside clients' private residences, candidates who advance through the hiring process will be required to successfully complete a criminal background check and identity verification before onboarding . Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Flexible schedule Paid training Application Question(s): How many years of professional serving experience do you have? Which environments have you worked in as a server? (for example, fine dining, upscale restaurant, casual restaurant, private dining, catering, etc) Are you comfortable working inside clients' private homes and vacation properties while maintaining professional boundaries and respecting their property? This is a hands-on event-support position. In addition to serving guests, you may assist with dishes, cleanup, event setup/breakdown, plating, kitchen organization, and very light food prep under the chef's direction. Are you comfortable with all of these responsibilities? This is an event-based independent contractor opportunity with no guaranteed weekly hours. Assignments may be available on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and select holidays. Are you comfortable with this type of schedule? Do you have reliable transportation to travel to private event locations throughout Wilmington and surrounding service areas? Are you comfortable taking direction from the Lead Chef and assisting wherever reasonably needed during an event to help service run smoothly?
