Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and personable Cashier/Counter person to join our food service team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes guests, takes orders, and ensures an exceptional dining experience. You will handle cash transactions accurately, promote menu items through upselling techniques, and support the overall flow of service in a lively, fast-paced environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable moments for our guests while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as lightspeed POS Process cash, credit card, and digital payments efficiently while ensuring proper cash handling procedures Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining and kitchen areas, including bussing tables, collecting garbage, sweeping, restocking, and food handling Assist with food preparation, kitchen support and stock replenishment, ensuring food safety protocols are followed and all customers satisfied. Use platforms like Uber, DoorDash etc… to manage and prepare orders efficiently and optimize sales Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours, including early morning shifts or extended hours as needed. Assist in digital marketing efforts by posting on social media to increase sales and awareness Skills Proficiency with POS systems such as Lightspeed POS or similar platforms Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, dining areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment regularly to uphold hygiene standards. Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques like suggestive selling Previous experience in serving, cashiering, or host/hostess, food service roles preferred Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check splitting Familiarity with restaurant operations including bussing, food prep support, and guest relations Must be able to lift at least 10lbs.
