Food Service Worker - Broome

Job Description

Serving with Compassion, Creativity, and Consistency. $20 /hour
Minimum Requirements:
1 year of experience in food service, preferably in congregate care or industrial kitchen space required High School Diploma or GED required Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required
Position Summary:
The Food Service Worker prepares, cooks, delivers, and serves food. They work collaboratively with Program Directors and program staff to ensure children in program are receiving the necessary nutrients. The Food Service Worker is responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions in the kitchen, cooler, freezers, serving area, and dining hall.
Responsibilities:
Assure proper food storage, sanitation, and rotation of refrigerators, freezers, pantries, serving, dining, and kitchen areas. Prepare, cook, deliver, and serve snacks and meals. Ensure all sharp utensils are safe and securely locked. Remain current on developments and best practices in the dietary industry. P rovide feedback to supervisors and managers regarding dietary needs and concerns of residents Complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner , meeting all standards of content and professional presentation. Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks such as maintaining files and balancing inventories. Work collaboratively with staff, youth, families, and community contacts who have diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
