UH Geneva Medical Center/Sodexo Shifts:

Flexible schedule. Shifts may include 6:00 AM

• 2:30 PM or 11:00 AM
• 7:30 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays

General Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support food service operations throughout the kitchen and patient care areas.

Responsibilities may include:

Preparing simple food items such as sandwiches, salads, fruit cups, and other cold food selections. Working on the tray line to assemble patient meal trays according to dietary requirements. Loading meal trays onto food carts and delivering meals to patient units. Following a two-step patient identification process by verifying the patient's first and last name and date of birth before meal delivery. Maintaining food safety standards by checking, recording, and monitoring food temperatures. Assisting with proper food storage and handling procedures. Washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. Cleaning and sanitizing food preparation and service areas. Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the department. Emptying trash and recycling containers. Following all Sodexo, hospital, and safety policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements :

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses. Significant walking or other means of mobility. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

Pay:

$15.75
