Located within our wellness resort, the Juice & Coffee Bar is an important part of the guest experience and should reflect Spa Castle's standards of cleanliness, presentation, hospitality, and relaxation. The attendant is responsible for preparing beverages and food items consistently, maintaining a clean and attractive service area, processing guest transactions, monitoring product levels, and assisting guests with menu selections. This position requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently during busy periods, and a strong commitment to food safety and cleanliness. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding coffee, specialty beverages, smoothies, juices, and food items. Answer guest questions regarding ingredients, menu options, and basic allergen information. Take orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain a positive and professional attitude even during high-volume periods. Help create a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere consistent with the Spa Castle guest experience. Address minor guest concerns professionally and involve a manager when necessary. Beverage & Food Preparation Prepare coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, smoothies, juices, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes. Prepare and serve menu items such as croffles, fruit items, snacks, desserts, and other light food offerings. Follow established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Ensure all beverages and food items are fresh and attractively presented. Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, temperature, and presentation. Properly handle and store fruits, dairy products, syrups, coffee products, toppings, and other ingredients. Monitor expiration dates and product freshness throughout the shift. POS & Cash Handling Accurately enter orders into the POS system. Process cash, credit card, wristband, and other approved payment methods. Follow established cash-handling and transaction procedures. Verify orders before completing transactions. Immediately report POS, payment, or transaction issues to management. Cleanliness & Food Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary Juice & Coffee Bar throughout the entire shift. Clean and sanitize counters, preparation areas, equipment, refrigerators, sinks, and service areas. Wash and properly store utensils, containers, and small equipment. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements. Follow proper procedures for handwashing, glove use, food storage, labeling, and temperature control. Complete opening, ongoing, and closing cleaning responsibilities. Keep the guest-facing area clean, organized, stocked, and visually appealing at all times. Immediately report equipment problems, refrigeration issues, spills, or safety concerns. Inventory & Stocking Maintain adequate levels of cups, lids, straws, napkins, coffee, milk, fruit, syrups, ingredients, and other supplies. Restock the workstation throughout the shift. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures when rotating products. Notify management when products or supplies are running low. Assist with receiving, organizing, and properly storing deliveries. Minimize waste by following established recipes and portion-control standards. Record waste or damaged products when required. Opening & Closing Responsibilities Prepare the Juice & Coffee Bar for daily operation. Check equipment and refrigeration before opening. Prepare ingredients and complete necessary prep work. Stock all service and preparation areas. Clean and sanitize equipment at the end of the shift. Properly store, label, and date remaining food and beverage products. Restock supplies for the following shift. Complete assigned closing checklist and ensure the area is clean and ready for the next business day. Qualifications Previous experience as a barista, café attendant, juice bar attendant, food service employee, or similar position preferred but not required. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Ability to learn beverage recipes and preparation standards. Ability to operate coffee equipment, blenders, POS systems, and other food-service equipment. Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Must be able to follow recipes, procedures, and company standards consistently. Food Handler certification required or must be obtained according to company and local requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to safely lift and carry approximately 25-30 lbs. Ability to work around hot beverage equipment, refrigerators, blenders, and food-preparation equipment. Ability to work in a busy hospitality environment. Schedule Must be available to work flexible schedules based on business needs. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
